Transition Towns is a grassroots network of communities that are working to build resilience in response to energy shortages, escalating prices, climate destruction, and economic instability. There are 420 Transition Town initiatives throughout the world, with 114 in the United States. Transition Town Media was the first in Pennsylvania and one of the first in the U.S. It seeks to be a resource and catalyst for building a more resilient Media that is able to withstand severe energy, climate or economic shocks while creating a better quality of life in the process. Come hear what it has already accomplished in just the last year— and what is happening this year!
